三、实战演练(以2012年Text 1 第21题为例) Come on—Everybody’s doing it. That whispered message, half invitation and half forcing, is what most of us think of when we hear the words peer pressure. It usually leads to no good—drinking, drugs and casual sex. But in her new book Join the Club, Tina Rosenberg contends that peer pressure can also be a positive force through what she calls the social cure, in which organizations and officials use the power of group dynamics to help individuals improve their lives and possibly the world.
21. According to the first paragraph, peer pressure often emerges as .
[A] a supplement to the social cure
[B] a stimulus to group dynamics
[C] an obstacle to social progress
[D] a cause of undesirable behaviors
解析:通过阅读题干可得知该题是事实型细节题,根据题干中的定位词“ the first paragraph”“peer pressure ”“often”,回文定位,不难发现文章第1段第2句话“That whispered message, half invitation and half forcing, is what most of us think of when we hear the words peer pressure.” 对第三句话进行分析,发现该句中的usually与题干中的often构成同义替换,而该句提到同龄人压力经常导致不好的事情发生,因此,确定本题我们的文中线索句是“It usually leads to no good—drinking, drugs and casual sex.”
